Brief Project Description

This was a design-build project to perform repairs on Tanks 6045, 6046 and 6047 in order to bring them into compliance with API 650/653 and AW 78-24-27. Repairs included replacement of the existing geodesic dome roofs with new steel roofs and their associated appurtenances (perimeter inspection hatches, roof manway hatch, perimeter guardrail, center vent, stilling well nozzles, and IFR hatch).  Additional repairs include repair of existing wind girders, installation of new wind girders, low and high level alarm systems, repair stilling wells, replace tank stairs, repair shell overflows, relocate low suction line, replace water draw-off system, replace thermal relief piping, repair receipt diffuser, provide grounding lugs, install roof hardware, replace containment area joint sealants and perform crack repairs, repair internal floating roof; replace internal pipe supports, install floating plug retriever hatch, replace mechanical tape gauge; full replacement of the internal tank coatings, repair external tank coatings; provide tank data plate, strapping chart and API 653 inspection report.
