Brief Project Description
Joint Base Pearl Harbor-Hickam (JBPHH) has a requirement for specialty JPTS (Jet Propellant Thermally Stable) fuel. As such, Reliable was chosen to construct two new 15,000 Gallon double wall above ground storage tanks including all appurtenances for new JPTS fuel storage. Work included construction of a new reinforced foundation for the tanks, concrete pad and curbs, two new off-load headers, 300gpm pumps, filter separators, control panel, piping and incidental related work. As Prime Contractor, Reliable self-performed the superintendence, quality control and safety, all fuel systems pipe fabrication off-site and fuel system startup and commissioning.
The two existing JPTS Tank at JBPHH were in very poor condition and as a result the tanks were taken out of service until repairs could be made. The highly corrosive JPTS was kept in a fleet of refueler trucks until construction was complete.
